Vineyard
The Damali vineyard was planted in 2006 and had it's first crop of Castel Grapes in the fall of 2009. In the summer of 2009 four new varieties were planted as well as some cultivated blackberries.
In 2010 the Damali partners have applied for a winery license and in the interim have been converting the original barn on the property into a winery and a vinegary. The first artisan wine vinegars will be introduced in April 2010 with wine following later in the year.
All Damali wines and wine vinegars are made with wine grapes grown in the Cowichan region, and some of the wine vinegars are infused with fruits, herbs and of course lavender grown on the farm.
