Ahhhh! June is finally here and yes, there's a purple haze starting to appear on the fields of Damali. The final lavender planting was completed in May and during the months of June & July over 12000 lavender plants will come into bloom. The vineyard is now three years old and showing signs of a bountiful first harvest and the greenhouse and vegetables gardens are all planted. During visits to the farm this summer you might see signs that the original barn is being transformed into a winery and vinegary thus completing the vision and dream of the Damali partners. To celebrate there will be an Opening Day on Saturday June 6. when visitors are invited to take a leisurely stroll amidst the lavender, vineyard, herb gardens or in the labyrinth, or just enjoy a glass of lavender lemonade or a cup of Lavender Tea and breathe in the aromas, sights and sounds. There will be special prices on all dried flower, essential oil and hydrosol products. |
