Marsha Stanley

Drive and determination earned Marsha many rewarding years working as a chartered accountant on the Lower Mainland where she raised two children with her husband Dave. A romantic at heart and visionary by nature, she has found in Damali a ‘homecoming’ – she has returned to her farming background here in the Cowichan Valley, and has come home to Vancouver Island – she grew up in Cobble Hill just a few miles from the Damali estate.

David Stanley

Born and raised in Duncan, Dave also has roots in the Cowichan Valley. After working for 15 years at Terasen Gas as a work leader in the engineering department, Dave took early retirement in February 2005 to live the beautiful vision that is Damali. Carpenter, mechanic, machine operator, and lead farm hand, his true talents have been realized in restoring buildings, reclaiming the land, and bringing into reality what is Damali Lavender, Vineyard and B & B.

Alison Philp

A long time resident of the Cowichan Valley, Alison is known for her work with Tourism Cowichan, the Cowichan Folk Guild and the Duncan Chamber of Commerce. A natural people-person, Alison has a wide circle of influence and a strong desire to establish the Cowichan Valley as an agri-tourism destination. A doting mother of two boys, Alison leads by example. Her love for family, nature and harmony guides her every action; her faith and inspired vision fuel all that is Damali.

"A magical place" ~ We stayed at Damali and had a fabulous time. The house itself is stunning, the hosts are relaxed and welcoming, the breakfasts are delicious. We'd love to make a return trip to Vancouver Island and would definitely stay at Damali again. In fact, we'd go tomorrow! E & D, Wales, UK
